The mayor of Isla Mayor (Sevilla), Francisco Murcia, died yesterday while on vacation in his home town of Motril following a stroke.
He was taken ill at around 15:00 and taken to a health centre where it was discovered that he had suffered a heart attack. He subsequently died at the Virgen de las Nieves Hospital in Granada.
