Plaza de la Ermita is next on the list! The Councillor for Infrastructure, Alberto Tomé, has announced plans for a €70,000 facelift for the square.
The idea is to improve the square, but without it losing any of its current ‘charm’. Included in the project is a new entrance at the western end of the square, which will facilitate easier access for the disabled, the elimintation of intermediate stepped areas, improvements to the gardens, lighting and pavements.
The Councillor believes that the square is under-utilised due to the accessibilty problems and needs revitalising. The project is due to start before the end of this year and be completed by next season!
