Prison without bail for Madrid bouncers

The three Madrid bouncers who were detained after the death of a youth outside El Balcón de Rosales discoteque have been sent to prison without bail.

The Magistrate’s Court in Madrid heard declarations from numerous witnesses during a three hour hearing yesterday before ordering the detainees to be remanded in custody without bail. The three men are being charged with homicide.

Eighteen year old Alvaro Ussia died outside the discoteque after allegedly being involved in a fight with the three bouncers. When the Emergency Services arrived on the scene, Alvaro Ussia was already in cardiac arrest. He was taken to hospital but later died.
