The new Nerja mortuary is now operational following the inauguration and blessing yesterday of the new facility by the parish priest from the San Miguel church.
Also attending the inauguration ceremony were the First Deputy Mayor of Nerja, Inocencia Quintero, the Councillor for Cemeteries, José Miguel Jimena, the Councillor for Equality, Andrés Márquez and the CEO of the company ASV, which will manage the facilities, Victor Romanes.
The new facility, built at a cost of €2.7 million, is on three floors and has a total area of 928 square metres.
