Two people died in Barcelona yesterday after a man allegedly killed his ex-wife and then committed suicide.
The man called his ex-wife saying that he had to speak to her urgently and subsequently went to her home in Vilafranca del Penedés. Neighbours called the police after they heard screams coming from the house but despite police being quick to respond, the woman was already dead when they arrived on the scene.
The man, who was the subject of a restraining order, returned to his parents home, where he had been staying since he and his wife had separated, and then took his own life.
