A meeting between the Market Traders Association and Councillor José Miguel Jimena took place yesterday to discuss the proposal made by the Market Traders to use the Parque Verano Azul as a site for the weekly market.
As was to be expected, the proposal was rejected after Council studies raised concerns over safety, disruption to traffic and inconvenience to local residents.
The Market Traders Association, AVAM, is to continue opposing any move to the site in Almijara.
