New Leisure Centre in Competa

Competa has a new recreation centre which includes, amongst other things, a library, television, a coffee bar and free internet access.

The new centre, calle Antonio 58, was inaugurated yesterday by the Mayor of Competa, José Luis Torres,  first-vice president Manuel Atencia and the director of social works for Unicaja, Felipe Faraguna.

The project is a collaboration between the Council and Unicaja and one of fifty similar projects being carried out in Andalucía which will benefit, in total, around 122,000 people.

The centre has a computing room with four computer terminals, a reading room, a television room with a 60 inch flat screen tv, a bar area and an administrative office in the centre.

The centre is 180 square metres and has air conditioning, parket flooring, toilet facilities and has been adapted for disabled access.

The rooms are modular, using movable screens, which enables the creation of a large open space if necessary.
