The Mayor of Alcaucín, José Manuel Martín Alba, is one of thirteen people arrested this morning in a police operation against corruption.
The other detainees include two of the Mayor’s daughters, the head of the Architecture Department at the Provincial Council and sundry persons connected with promotion and construction of houses.
Guardia Civil officers from the Unidad Central Operativa (UCO) have been busy this morning collecting documents from the Town Hall in Alcaucín and from the Department of Architecture in Málaga.
