José Antonio Griñán has been confirmed as the new president of the Junta de Andalucía, the fourth person to occupy the post since Andalucía became an autonomous region.
Griñán takes over from Manuel Chaves who resigned the post to take up a position of the central government of José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero.
The voring was 56 in favour (PSOE) and 53 against (47 PP and 6 IU).
