The seas near the beaches of Rincón de la Victoria and Benajarafe are the latest to witness orange slicks, previously these were seen in Nerja and Almayate.
The cause of the orange slick is being put down to the shells of anchovy eggs, although no-one is absolutely certain and it could actually be something quite different.
What is widely accepted is that the slicks do not contain pollutants and are non-toxic.
