Two people died on Friday after the light aircraft in which they were travelling crashed on the island of La Palma.
The plane took off from Berriel airport in the south of Gran Canaria and then as it approached the town of El Paso on La Palma, contact with the plane was lost. At 14:40, the Emergency Services received a call that a plane had crashed.
There as apparently no explosion when the plane hit the ground and no-one else was injured in the incident.
