The Nerja Council has approved the latest awarding of the contract for the urbanisation of the UE-47 under the Plan General de Nerja.
The first contract award for this project in the area known as ‘llano de Rufino’ ran into problems and had to be terminated. As a result, the whole administrative procedure had to be started again from scratch.
The project, which will have a dramatic impact on the area by creating a new street, will also allow for the urbanisation of neighbouring streets such as callesVelázquez, Murillo, Goya and Calera de Gómez.
The UE-47 project, budgeted at €519,000, is being financed by industry. The renovations to adjacent streets will be financed with funds from the provincial authorities.
