The alleged ETA member detained in France after he sought hospital treatment for a gunshot wound to the hand has been identified as 23 year old Ibai González Suescún.
Ibai Suescún, on the run since last October, was arrested by the gendarmerie in the town of Lescun and then transferred to hospital in Oloron.
Ibai Suescún and his twin brother, Gorka Suescún, had been involved in street violence in Navarra between 2006 and 2008 and arrest warrants had been issued.
