The delegate of the Junta de Andalucía in Málaga, María Gámez, has been visiting Nerja, the first such high level visit since the Mayor, José Alberto Armijo, took office some 14 years ago.
Good opportunity for a photo shoot as they took a tour of some of the building works currently underway in Nerja as part of the Plan Proteja. These include the new roundabout in calle Puente Viejo, work in Plaza Paseo Nuevo and other interesting sites (!).
Nerja has received €689,851 under the Plan Proteja and according to the Mayor, the projects currently being carried out by the four local companies awarded the contracts have resulted in the creation of 58 jobs.
