Anyone accessing the Balcon de Europa today from the Plaza Cavana end is having to do so via the alley at the right side of the El Salvador church as the roadworks have completely blocked the normal access along calle Carmen.
Work is also continuing on the separate project in the square off the Balcon de Europa.
