A three year old girl is in a critical condition in hospital in Tenerife after being abused both violently and sexually, allegedly by the boyfriend of her mother.
The young girl suffered two cardiac arrests as a result of beatings, has bruises all over her body and burns on her lower back.
The abuse took place while the mother at work. The boyfriend, aged 24 years, has been arrested and charged with sexual abuse and is currently awaiting a court appearance.
