Police have arrested 26 people and charged another ten in the latest operation against child pornography, the detentions taking place in eighteen provinces.
In May 2009, an internet user in Valencia reported the existence of files containing child pornography being shared over the internet and an investigation was begun by the Technical Crimes Group.
Thirty-four homes have been raided and police have seized ten computers, 78 hard drives, 673 CD’s and DVD’s and a memory stick.
The raids were carried out in Palencia, Murcia, Vizcaya, Grenada, Cantabria, Melilla, Merida, Madrid, Alicante, Barcelona , Burgos, Valencia, Cuenca, Cádiz, Malaga, Sevilla and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
