The Nerja Caves Foundation is resubmitting the Nerja History Museum for inclusion in the Plan for Sustainable Tourism, something which will open up the possibility for financial assistance.
The museum has been submitted in the past but was not included in the Plan. This time, with a few modifications to include a section for private initiative, there are strong indications that it could be included in the next round.
The museum itself is finished, it just needs to be furnished and the details for this procedure have already been published in the Official Provincial Gazette (BOP) as required by law. The furnishing of the museum is being financed through a loan arranged by the Nerja Caves Foundation.
