Although the new promenade at El Chucho beach has been open for some time, it was only today that the official back-patting and photoshoot took place.
The inauguration was attended by the Mayor of Nerja, José Alberto Armijo, the Secretary General of the Sea, Juan Carlos Martín Fragueiro, the director-general for the Sustainability of the Costa del Sol and the Sea, Alicia Paz Antolín. and the Nerja Councillor for Beaches, Jonathan Méndez.
The promenade project, costing €743,019, was funded through the European Regional Development Fund and carried out by the Ministry of Environment. El Chucho beach stretches between Torrecilla beach and El Playazo beach and measures 280 metres in length and is 6 metres wide.
