Today, Wednesday March 10th, sees the start of the International Tourist Fair (ITB) in Berlin, Germany, and Andalucia is once again heavily represented.
Andalucia has increased its investment in such tourist fairs and in Berlin it has 526 square metres of exhibition space as it tries to woo potential German tourists.
As far as the Costa del Sol is concerned, the German market is the second largest international market after the UK and last year, Andalucia received more than 915,000 German tourists.
Málaga is well represented at the fair, with Málaga city, Fuengirola and Torremolinos all having their own exhibition stands.
