Torrox Council is making a third attempt, once again reducing the price, to try and sell three plots of land in Calaceite.
The first two attempts produced no bidders for the land and the Council is hoping that it will be third time lucky. Aware that the construction industry is in recession and, basically paralysed, the Council is nevertheless remaining hopeful. The price of the land, suitable for development, is now down to less than €500 per square metre.
The potential cost of these plots has fallen from €10 million to €7 million.
