New signs will be appearing all over the municipality during the next few weeks as part of a Department of Tourism project to provide more and better information for visitors.
Directional signs are already being installed at various junctions and roundabouts throughout the town, these pointing the way to beaches, monuments, hotels and other places deemed to be of interest to visitors. A total of 45 directional signs are being placed.
In the next few weeks, a further 32 signs showing places of interest and 30 information panels will be put in place. There will also be ‘welcome’ monoliths installed at the entrances to town.
The project is costing €210,177 and is being financed by the Council and the Junta de Andalucia.
