Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez only joined Twitter last month – a service he used to call ‘a tool of terror’ – but he already has nearly a quarter of a million followers.
Chavez describes himself as ‘Presidente de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela. Soldado Bolivariano, Socialista y Antiimperialista.’ Not a bad title. He has also asked Cuban leader Fidel Castro to join him on Twitter.
Not that Chavez appears to do much of the tweeting himself, or at least not replying, having hired a staff of 200 to take care of his account for him. If you want to follow the man, or just see what he is up to …Hugo Chavez
