A 65 year old bather, a foreign national, died on Tuesday afternoon at Villa Tropicana beach in Mijas Costa.
The incident happened just after four o’clock in front of the Club La Costa. Bathers in the area rescued the unconscious man from the water. When the Critical Care Unit (DCCU) arrived on the scene, the bather was already dead.
An autopsy is now being carried out to determine the exact cause of death.
