The PSOE in Torrox has written to the Department of Urban Discipline requesting a report on compliance with a building permit issued for work being carried out on the home of the Mayor, Toñi Claros (IU).
The PSOE spokesman, Francisco Muñoz, has requested the immediate cessation of work on the house, located in Peñoncillo, on the grounds that the building works are increasing the floor area of the building which is contrary to the law.
Muñoz regards it as at least ‘suspicious’ that each newly renovated area is being immediately painted, not a common practice, and that this is probably to hide the existence of new constructions.
The Mayor responded by stating that everything being done is perfectly legal and in line with the building permit for which she has had to pay €1,388.06 in taxes.
