Infrastructure projects to the value of €22 million have been carried out in Mijas during the past twelve months, the Council itself providing €8 million, and this has resulted in the creation of some 1,200 direct jobs. The Health Centre in La Cala accounted for the signing of 37 contracts of employment and the Multipurpose centre in Las Lagunas created a further 48 jobs.
