This past weekend was the worst of the year so far in terms of road traffic accidents and fatalities, with 26 people losing their lives and another 30 injured.
There were 24 fatal accidents and the death toll included 8 motorcyclists and 7 pedestrians.
Despite this tragic weekend, the total number of fatalities in Spain so far this year is 991, representing a 15% decrease.
