It may be hot, but it is always hot in summer, and if I were in charge I would be asking the contractors to check to see if they reconnected the drainage system after the recent renovations and replacement of infrastructure.
The stench in parts of calle Carabeo (the part renovated) is gut-wrenching at times, the stink in calle Puerta del Mar, the bottom of calle Pintada and, particularly, in Plaza Cavana (newly renovated) this evening was GROSS. It is worse than it ever was, in my view.
A few years ago, during the renovations to calle Pintada and calle Cristo, the road had to be dug up again because the drainage system had not been reconnected properly, or at all.
Calle Manuel Marin and parts of avenida Castilla Perez were also more than a bit on the ripe side. It is also a little disconcerting to think that this ‘whatever it is’ will shortly be discharged a little way offshore! I suppose at least it will be diluted!
