Saw a couple of Local Police officers on the Balcon de Europa last night and it got me thinking that this year there seems to have been far less of a police presence than in previous years.
There were always cops, either normal or trafico, at the calle Diputación/avenida Castilla Perez junction to catch the unwary or those parked illegally in the taxi rank/loading bays, but hardly seen any this summer.
There were a couple of days of intense activity handing out parking tickets, but apart from that, very little. As for the ‘vigorous’ campaign by the Poop Squad, well, it must have been postponed. Maybe they’re all out somewhere on their new bikes.
