If all goes to plan and there are no more party political interruptions, the contract for the equipping of the Nerja History Museum should be finalised before the end of this month and work could begin in October.
The contract has provisionally been awarded to the Catalan grouping of Playmedia and Motion Graphics in the amount of €1.4 million, €400,000 less than the base price quoted in the tender documents. The completion period has been set at five months.
Again, if all goes to plan and there are no interruptions, the museum could be open to the public in the spring of 2011
