A much better performance from the Blue and Whites at the Estadio La Romareda as they beat Zaragoza 3-5 to launch themselves up the table. However, they were 0-5 just before half time so there are obviously some question marks concerning the Málaga defence.
Fernando and Juanmi both grabbed a pair, Fernando scoring in the first minute, with Owusu-Abeyie adding the fifth. The scorers for Zaragoza were Edmilson, Pérez and Herrera.
