Wins for Barcelona and Málaga

The Blue and Whites travelled to Sporting Gijón and managed to leave with all three points, winning the match 1-2.

Oh dear, another defeat for the Blue and Whites, and this time a quite comprehensive one at the hands of visiting Atletico Madrid. Three goals from set pieces, two scored by Tiago and one by Dominguez sealed things for Madrid and Málaga remain third from bottom of La Liga.

Málaga back to losing ways

Getafe were 1-0 winners against third placed Villarreal, despite playing most of the second half with ten men after Cata Díaz was given his marching orders and then with nine men after goalscorer Albín got a little carried away with his celebrations just before the end.

Although the Blue and Whites took an early lead against local rivals Sevilla at La Rosaleda, Rondón scoring in the 14th minute, it was Sevilla who ended up with the three points, Alfaro and Cáceres the scorers.

A much better performance from the Blue and Whites at the Estadio La Romareda as they beat Zaragoza 3-5 to launch themselves up the table. However, they were 0-5 just before half time so there are obviously some question marks concerning the Málaga defence.
