Sunday October 17th sees the fourth bottom-cleaning exercise to be carried out by volunteer divers, an event organised by Buceo Costa Nerja on Burriana beach and supported by the Nerja Council and the various merenderos on the beaches.
The cleaning will start at 09:30 and there will be around 40 divers taking part in two shifts, each group spending around 40 minutes on the seabed.
The idea is to cover the entire Nerja coastline as far as Maro and all the rubbish collected during the dives will then be transferred to Burriana beach, although one hopes it will not remain there.
