An 86 year old woman died on Monday evening in a fire at her home in calle Pavía in the Zaidín district of Granada city.
The fire occurred at around 22:30 and when firemen arrived on the scene they found that the woman had died in the fire.
The fire was localised and it was not necessary to evacuate the other residents of the building. A forensic investigation is under way to determine the cause of the fire.
