A fire at a Telefonica telephone exchange in Almeria on Saturday has left 3,000 people with no or limited ADSL internet access and 5,000 people without a landline connection.
Engineers from various cities are working on the problem and it is hoped that the service will be restored during Sunday afternoon.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
