A body found last night near Arriate, Málaga province, has been confirmed as being that of 13 year old María Esther J. V. who had not been seen since Wednesday evening.
The body was found on the floor of a swimming pool filter cupboard. Her face had been covered and the corpse showed signs of bruising, indicating a violent death, although more will be known after an autopsy is carried out. The autopsy will be carried out today, Friday, at the Instituto de Medicina Legal (IML) in Málaga.
María Esther was last seen on Wednesday evening and a search had been under way since Thursday morning.
