Three Torrox Local Police officers are to receive a three day suspension without pay and a further seven are to receive a written warning as a result of the mass absenteeism during the October feria celebrations which resulted in the Council having to hire a private security company to guard the police headquarters.
The disciplinary measures were proposed by a commission set up to investigate the incident. They will come into effect once the documents are signed by the Mayor, Toñi Claros.
The officers receiving a written warning will not be penalised financially.
