On Monday afternoon, nineteen bulls destined for the Mataderos del Sur slaughterhouse in Salteras, Sevilla, managed to escape, but not for long.
The Guardia Civil and local farmers tried to round up the escapees but when it proved impossible to get them into the right place in order to avoid potential problems, the order was given to kill the animals.
The Guardia Civil shot eighteen of the bulls but the nineteenth got away and is still at large. One Guardia Civil and one Local Police officer suffered minor injuries during the incident and one vehicle was damaged after it was attacked by one of the bulls.
