The Councillor for Environment, José Miguel Jimena, has asked everyone to be on the lookout for cable thieves and to report anyone suspicious tampering with electrical installations.
There have been several actual and attempted thefts of electrical cable in Nerja recently, particularly in the rio Chillar area and up by the market. Some street lights are out as a result of the thefts.
