The Department of Environment of Torrox Council has scheduled a series of initiatives to promote the collection of waste in the municipality with the objective of improving and modernising the system of waste management and developing programs to raise awareness about recycling.
The Council has already received a grant of €60,000 from the Ministry of Environment for the installation of two mini collection points, one in the Pueblo and one in Torrox Costa. This will allow for the depositing of materials such as oils, paints, batteries and small household appliances.
