The Partido Popular and Partido Andalucista have reached an agreement to rule the Mancomunidad de Municipios de la Costa del Sol-Axarquía (Association of Municipalities of the Costa del Sol, Axarquia), ending four years of PSOE/IU domination.
There are 41 seats on this governing body and the PP with 17 members and the PA with 4 will have an absolute majority. The PSOE has 16 members, IU has 3 and the Convergencia Andaluza has 1 member.
The president of the Association is expected to be the PP councillor for Torrox, Oscar Medina.
