An Ecuadorian woman has died in Bilbao after being stabbed by her husband following an argument in the street.
The incident occurred at 16:25 on Monday afternoon in calle Fernández del Campo in Bilbao. Police were advised that a heated argument was taking place in the street and when they arrived on the scene they found the woman badly injured.
The woman subsequently died from her injuries. The alleged attacker, her husband, was arrested.
Sadly, it is becoming far too common for domestic arguments or disputes to be resolved with finality. It is also disturbing to see the number of people who, when carrying out an argument in a street or other public place, are suddenly able to produce a large knife, axe, gun or other weapon.
