The Council has asked the Ministry of Environment Rural and Marine to treat the Project to Improve the Coastline and Stabilise Torrecilla beach as two separate items and make the Stabilisation of Torrecilla beach a first phase.
The project includes a number of improvements including the construction of a pier or promontory as a breakwater to prevent the perpetual erosion of the beach. The Council see the stabilisation of the beach as a priority
