The Council has started removing merchandise from premises that exceed their allotted space on the public thoroughfare, starting with one in calle Pintada, following various complaints made to the Local Police and several warnings to the establishment in question.
Allotted areas for street furniture and displays are now clearly marked on the ground in calle Cristo and calle Pintada,
Some still exceed their allotted areas, though. Will the Council remove the customers or the chairs and tables?
And those establishments without the markings but who have items on the street?
There have been occasions recently when the Emergency Services have been unable to access certain areas due to excessive use of the street areas.
