Not known to be shrinking violets when it comes to an opportunity for a bit of mutual back-patting, the authorities have been reflecting upon the success of the recent feria, publishing a few statistics from the event.
There were apparently only three fights, these taking place on the first day, October 8th, and one youth was detained for being in possession of a knife with a 30 centimetre blade.
There was also one arrest for an incident of gender violence. In all of these incidents, the offenders were not residents of Nerja.
One person was injured after being struck on the foot by a bumper car, this incident taking place on the last day of the feria, October 12th.
The Ecos del Rocío concert drew an audience of 750 people while the concert by Andy y Lucas attracted 1,000 people.
It is also estimated that around 700 people took part in the processions.
