Nerja Council has announced that is cutting back on Christmas lighting this year in order to save costs and energy, restricting lighting in principle to public places plus a few roundabouts.
The places to get decorative lighting – always nice to see – are the Paseo Balcón de Europa, Plaza Cavana, Plaza de Andalucia, Plaza de la Ermita, Plaza Cantarero, Barriada de los Poetas and Maro.
The Council will also be seeking the cooperation of local businesses in these areas.
