The Councillor for Infrastructure, Antonio García, has responded to the announcement that the proposed marina will be located in Calaceite and that Torrox Council can now begin preparing the project as untrue.
The Councillor states that the announcement by the Public Ports Agency of Andalucia does not mean that anything can proceed because, above all, there has been no approval by the Ministry of Environment as required under Article 49 of the Coastal Act.
Antonio García basically dismisses the announcement as electioneering by the socialist party with the elections in Andalucia coming up in March 2012.
