The Marine Rescue service today intercepted a small pneumatic boat carrying 31 passsengers about four miles southwest of Tarifa, Cádiz province.
On board the boat were 14 men, 11 women and 6 babies. The small craft was spotted by a fishing boat. The Rescue Coordination Centre (CCS) in Tarifa mobilised the vessels ‘Salvamar Alkaid’ and ‘L/S Hermes’ to intercept and transfer the passengers to the port of Tarifa.
