A 30 year old man is in a serious condition in Málaga hospital after being accidentally shot in the groin during a hunting exhibition.
The incident occurred at around 11:00 on Monday during a hunting expedition in the Sierra de Lújar in Granada province. One of the hunters called the authorities to say that one of his companions had been accidentally shot and an air ambulance was sent to the area.
However, strong winds forced the helicopter to divert from its original destination, Motril, to Málaga.
Police are investigating the incident and have taken statements from witnesses but appear to be fairly certain the incident was an accident.
