The Councillor for Social Services and Employment, Encarnación Moreno, is again asking the Junta de Andalucia to pay the debt it owes to the Special Employment Centre Friendship Workshop, Taller de la Amistad, which amounts €121,109.
Taller de la Amistad has 26 workers, 23 of whom are disabled. Unless the Junta de Andalucia pays what it owes, the association may have to consider laying off the workers.
The Councillor has requested an urgent meeting with the provincial delegate for Employment of the Junta de Andalucia in order to try and resolve the situation.
